The Summit Garnet Canyon Jacket is filled with seriously warm ProDown™ insulation to shield you from the cold on wind-and-snow-ravaged mountainsides. But you won't be bogged down with unnecessary weight when you need to make reachy moves. That's all down to our light and breathable 50/50 baffle construction, which harnesses a series of down baffles interspersed with an air-permeable face fabric that allows heat and moisture to escape. Add to that wind-blocking WindWall™ fabric, temperature-regulating DotKnit fleece and mobility-enhancing stretch fabric, and you have yourself an all-mountain jacket that can go the distance. The Summit Series™ system of layers all work together for optimum performance in terms of breathability, insulation, weather resistance and moisture management.

There's a reason the Quest Jacket is back for another season: because it continues to deliver great value, and reliable rain and wind protection. This shell is made from lightweight, two-layer DryVent™ with taped seams and a water repellent finish. All this means you stay dry, protected from the wind and won't get too hot and sweaty in the process - ideal when hiking in shifting conditions. It features a fitted, adjustable hood and a cinch-cord hem and elasticated cuffs to keep bad weather out. A brushed-knit chin guard means the top of the zip won't become irritating and there are two zipped hand pockets.

Build out your layering system with a moisture-wicking baselayer and a fleece or synthetic midlayer for insulation depending on your level of activity. In coldest temperatures layer with a down filled jacket.

Close all fastenings

Before cleaning, turn your product inside out and close all Velcro® fastenings and zips to prevent accidental damage.

Retreat the garment

To prolong the life of your weatherproof gear, you’ll need to retreat the garment to replace the waterproof coating after a certain amount of washes. If you notice that water is not beading as well as it did when you first purchased the garment, it may be time to retreat it. You can replace the durable water-repellent coating (DWR) with a spray-on or wash-in product, following the instructions carefully.

Machine wash

Machine wash at 40°C or below with similar colours. To get the best performance out of your gear, wash it as often as necessary to remove impurities, such as sweat, dirt, campfire smoke and cooking odours.

It delivers high-level warmth and compressibility while retaining its loft, even in wet conditions. There are raglan sleeves for full arms-up mobility. We’ve also added underarm gussets for freedom of movement on the ascent. And if things get too hot and sweaty, you can pack this lightweight jacket into its pocket to keep it safely out the way.
